Gaby Knaudt - Bio [Pre-Primary]
Gabriela Knaudt, known to most as Ms. Gaby, was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She has been teaching for 22 years, the last 15 at Peninsula Montessori. She is passionate about the Montessori philosophy, especially its emphasis on following the child. Her daughter is 15 years old and graduated from Peninsula Montessori School two years ago with a wonderful foundation and well prepared to succeed in Middle School. Her son is 10 years old and in 4th grade at Peninsula Montessori. He loves school and sees it as his second home.
Afsaneh Ghaffari - Bio [Pre-Primary]
Ms. Afsaneh was born and raised in Iran. She obtained a B.A. Degree in Child Psychology from the University of Tehran. After graduation, she took a job as coordinator and director of a well-known preschool in Tehran for 10 years. Afsaneh moved to the United States in 2004 and started working at Peninsula Montessori in September, 2006. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her 8 year old son, walking, ice-skating, and bicycling.

Gaby’s energy and joie-de-vivre create an inviting environment in which the children can explore their work materials. She is both a dedicated and loving teacher. She treats each child with the respect she would accord her own children and yet sets firm boundaries for them.
Ms. Gaby's fun-loving spirit and enthusiasm for teaching is unending. She has a talent for understanding each child's personality and teaching to their strengths to bring out the best in their abilities. We will miss her when we move on to Transition.
Gaby’s teaching style is dynamic and unique. She embraces the magic in the everyday, and instills that passion into her lessons. Her creativity and enthusiasm inspire kids to experiment, to explore, to learn. Her compassion fosters respect and appreciation for self and others. She has genuinely bonded with our children and they have blossomed in her classroom.
