Peninsula Montessori is fortunate to be supported by a very large and involved community of families. A Room Parent plays a significant role in helping to enrich the school experience of the children, teachers and parents of Peninsula Montessori School. Their responsibilities include attending MPA meetings, serving as the liaison between the classroom teacher and families, managing their class' Shutterfly website, and coordinating parent volunteers.
Children appreciate the parent involvement in the classrooms as it helps to create continuity between their time at school and their return home. Volunteers for Room Parent are always welcome, and we invite you to talk with your student's teacher for an overview of the role.
Working hand in hand with the classroom teacher, the Montessori Room Parents are an integral part of advancing the classroom experience for each student while helping parents stay connected with what's happening on campus and in class.
Our school Room Parents work as the liaison between faculty and the families in their respective classroom. They can be counted on for many functions in service of the Montessori classroom including:

Many thanks to all of our hard working RP's!
