Academic Programs

At Peninsula Montessori School, we recognize our fundamental commitment to our student's learning for their best possible future.

From our Todller Program up through and including our Elementary Level Programs, we ensure our teaching applies the Montessori Method as it was intended. Our faculty and adminstration work tirelessly on the curriculum in the spirit of continuous improvement. We take the best of the past and are constantly introducing and integrating new practices, so that we are always doing what works best for our students’ learning and education.

A Quick Video Tour

Peninsula Montessori's program provides a positive, stimulating introduction to classroom education for students, beginning at at 18 months through the 6th grade. Children learn the Montessori philosophy of order, independence, concentration, and coordination, gradually moving from the concrete to the abstract.

Emphasis is placed on developing nascent skills in areas such as language, math, computers, science, geography, and music. Students also participate in physical education, sensorial development, and spiritual growth. The Montessori program at our school gives each child a framework that helps ensure continued academic success after their time at Penisnula Montessori has come to an end.

Traditional Montessori practices are augmented by enriched curriculum courses taught by the faculty as well as extended programs like Art At Your Fingertips offered through the Palos Verdes Community Art Center.
